Chinese Zero to Hero follows the HSK Standard Course textbook and has 12 units, 36 lessons.

To pass HSK 5, you need to put in about 1,100 hours of study time.

We suggest that you plan your study as follows:

That means, each week:

• Spend 2 hours going through this video course
• Spend 2 hours finishing the exercises in the workbook
• Spend 16 hours going over the HSK 5 Expansion courses (Songs, TV News, Art & Culture, ...). Alternatively you can go over the 扩展视频 section at the end of each lesson.

Additionally, everyday, spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes reviewing. For best results, we suggest that you review what you studied the day before, 3 days ago, and 7 days ago.
